The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart is located just steps from Hobart’s waterfront and the city’s top restaurants and attractions. The Tasman is a unique combination of Modern Contemporary, Art Deco and Heritage architecture. Presenting 152 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites with carefully restored features and adorned with exclusive art pieces from local artists, The Tasman reflects the true spirit of the destination.

Our Valet/Porters are responsible for providing first impressions, are proactive, welcoming and true professionals at delighting and wowing our guests. **The Opportunity**:

- Welcome and escort our guests, highly active front of house position involving logging requests, assisting guests with luggage, transportation needs and general information
- Delivering amenities and other items to guest rooms
- Greet every guest and deliver personal and attentive guest experiences every day
- Parking - valet park guest cars
- Maintain the cleanliness standards of the Hotel driveway and entrance
- Mise an place for in-room dining orders and delivery to guest rooms
- Safety and security - follow property procedures for handling safety, security and emergency situations
- Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other talents and departments
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 22kg without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 35kg with assistance
- Work cleanly and safely to health and safety standards
- Uphold The Tasman’s standards and the hotel's policies and procedures
- Assist with other projects as requested by Managers

**About You**:

- Organized, proactive and enjoys working with the public and in a team environment
- Must have the flexibility to work on a rotating roster including public holidays and weekends as well as regular early morning and evening shifts and occasional overnight shifts
- Must hold a valid manual drivers license
- Tasmanian RSA required prior to commencement
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
- Covid-19 Vaccination required - completed vaccination or willing to be vaccinated
- Full working rights in Australia
- Police clearance required prior to commencement
- Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
