Zancott Recruitment are sourcing a Property Services Officer (APS5 equivalent) for a Government Organisation.

12-month contract based in Canberra.

**About the role**:
The Property Services Officer is a part of a team responsible for supporting the delivery of the company's property and facilities services for the property portfolio.

This role manages the day-to-day activities of the Property Services Team, which includes the maintenance of the property services helpdesk function, supporting ongoing property projects and providing business support services.
- Provide a high level of client service to departmental staff for property and facilities related services, including supervision of the property services helpdesk function.
- Assist in monitoring the quality of service delivery and develop a productive working relationship with building managers, clients, contractors and staff at all levels.
- Supporting a series of projects within the Property Services team as needed.
- Support the development of the overall reporting requirements, briefings and budgets for the Property Services team.
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services via tendering and contracting processes as needed.
- Support a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, integrating their requirements into all major projects.
- Liaising with other facilities and business support teams to ensure communication of pipeline of future activities.
- Actively participate in relevant governance meetings and represent the Department during working group meetings.
- Provide issue resolution and communication for internal and external stakeholders and escalate issues that have a wider departmental impact on staff or business continuity.
- Work positively and collaboratively, with a focus on customer service and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Demonstrate analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
- Lead, coach, and support staff.

**An understanding of the following is desirable (but not required)**:

- The structure and business operations of the department, including strategic objectives, priorities and risks.
- The _Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013._
- The Commonwealth Property Management Framework.
- Legislation and industry standards relating to property, particularly the Building Codes of Australia.
