The Corporate Planning and Risk team sits within the Corporate Delivery Services Group and the Corporate Performance team. The team delivers valued professional services and advice in numerous areas including business planning, governance and compliance, risk management, business continuity, supporting Parliamentary processes (PAEC), internal audit management, Audit and Risk Committee secretariat, integrity, reporting and accommodation and facilities coordination.
About the role
As the Risk and Planning Officer, you will contribute to a diverse range of planning, risk and corporate activities. In the role, you will be exposed to a range of interesting and challenging projects and help drive continuous improvement across a range of initiatives. This is a supportive role, where you will use your administrative and organisational skills to help the team meet business objectives. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

- report on risk management activities and its progress against key initiatives
- assist in the reviewing and monitoring of governance frameworks
- research and contribute to briefing papers, reports, and correspondence
- support the review and implementation of continuous improvement activities for the teams' products and processes
- engage with a range of stakeholders and help ensure all project requirements are met.

About you
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- an understanding of risk management frameworks and an awareness of the Departments business model (desirable)
- a strong level of familiarity with contemporary governance, strategic planning, organisational performance management and risk management practices (desirable).

Exposure to internal and external audit processes, audit committees and/or exposure to corporate planning would be highly regarded.
