About the Role:
AU047 JLT Risk Solutions PTY LTD is seeking a highly skilled Risk and Safety Advisor to join our team in South Australia. As a Risk and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to Local Government organisations on risk management and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide risk management and safety advice to Local Government organisations, including developing and implementing risk management strategies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations for mitigation.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Local Government organisations, stakeholders, and other government bodies.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices, and provide guidance on compliance.
- Collaborate with the WHS & Risk Team to ensure key deliverables are achieved and provide high-quality service and advice to clients.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of South Australian Work Health & Safety legislation, principles, and practices.
- Experience in risk management, safety, and compliance.
- Knowledge of ISO 31000 and Performance Standards for Self-Insurers (PSSI).
- Relevant auditing qualification or experience.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- A current SA driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1999 and other relevant Acts.
- Understanding of law, civil liabilities, contracting, common law, and risks within Local Government.
