**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (the department) is recruiting for an Assistant Director, Parliamentary Executive Level 1 (PEL1), to lead the Business Systems Team within the Applications Delivery and Operations (ADO) section.

**Immediate supervisor**:Director, Applications Delivery & Operations

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Manage and lead a technical team to build capability, drive innovation, setting priorities for the team and implementing strategy for skills and knowledge development.

2. Manage key relationships with business, industry, and government stakeholders in managing the performance of business-critical IT systems for Australian Parliament House (APH).

3. Build and maintain constructive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to determine their needs and manage customer expectations.

4. Manage a range of contracts for the Applications Delivery & Operations section.

5. Oversee the Incident Management process across the APH environments to ensure that incidents are effectively prioritised, actioned in a timely manner, procedures are followed and risks minimised.

6. Oversee the upgrades, maintenance, monitoring of IT systems performance and drive continuous improvement through the administration of life-cycle management process.

7. Develop a framework to produce technical standards and procedures to create a consistent approach for the delivery of innovative and cost-effective services.
