**What you’ll be doing**
Based out of the Virgin Australia Brisbane HQ, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing and optimising an effective WFP strategy that serves the needs of Virgin Australia’s customers, delivers on strategic objectives and maximises returns for the Virgin Australia group across its fleet of over 100 aircraft.
In addition, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-create, design and implement a WFP strategy that drives and influences transformational projects. The role will manage the delivery of a balanced scorecard with financial, customer, operational, and strategic objectives.
- Lead material project-based work, through collaboration with key stakeholders and managing the optimisation of our resource groups.
- Develop and implement an effective long-term WFP strategy that connects short-term priorities to our long-term strategic objectives.
- Analyse the effectiveness of transformational change initiatives on the long-term resource plans for all resource groups managed by WFP.
- Present initiative analysis to senior leadership teams, providing recommended long-term transformational change, highlighting the implementation-related impact on financial, system, and process outcomes.
- Work closely with Group Strategy, Network Planning, and Fleet planning teams on WFP-related implications of the longer-term fleet plan and related strategic decisions, including fleet type selection, long-term fleet requirements, and cabin configuration.
**You’ll be great in this role if you**
- Tertiary qualification in Airline /Economics or in Business disciplines.
- 5 years in Airline Commercial function or management consulting.
- Strong understanding of commercial and operational aspects of the airline industry
- Airline commercial economics
- Strong analytical skills to synthesise large data sets into actionable network outcomes
- Strong communication, organisation and time management, and attention to detail
