Utilities Contracts Manager

**The Role**

As the Utilities Contracts Manager, you will support the Utilities Infrastructure Director and global delivery teams on commercial and contract issues throughout the lifecycle of data center developments. You will also lead strategic procurement planning and contract negotiations with HV vendors, driving innovations and improvements to enhance quality, time, and cost efficiencies across all developments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop business cases and analysis on procurement/ new vendors / claims resolution in partnership with the Utilities Infrastructure Director and Commercial Director - Developments
- Consider best form of cost and contracting model and draft and negotiate contract scope, key commercial outcomes in new contracts, variations and contractual correspondence
- Contract lifecycle management including kick-off, monitoring contractor performance and proactively managing contract works delivery through to DOR and completion
- Assessing and managing contract claims including variations, time-related claims, payment claims and invoices
- Input to cost management and forecasting across in-flight projects in partnership with regional Contracts Managers
- Developing and implementing reporting tools for measurement of key contract metrics

**Skills and experience**:

- Proven experience in delivering projects in a contracts or commercial role within a complex construction or development environment, preferably with exposure to Utilities or HV sectors.
- Degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying or Business/Commerce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as intermediate-advanced Excel/Word/systems skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively to problem-solve and bring matters to a closeStrong influencing and negotiation skills with a history of demonstrated business partnering to achieve broader business goals is critical to success in this role
