Role description:

Due to consistent growth in our Civil and Highways Engineering team, we are currently looking for a Utilities Engineer to join our team in New South Wales and take a key part in supporting an exciting pipeline if infrastructure projects across Australia.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work both remotely and from our office to suit your needs and preferences. In this role, successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 3 days from the office.

Role accountabilities: Using Civil 3D or 12D software to provide 3D modelling, coordination and clash detection of utilities in appropriate 3D software; Identifying utility impacts resulting from civil/structural designs and to resolve clashes and spaceproof design relocations; Coordination with utility authorities to obtain inputs for design, protection and relocation requirements and approvals; Management of subcontractors such as Water Service Coordinators (WSC) and Electrical designers (ASP3); Review of design documents and ensuring compliance with the components of the project for which you are responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and the interfaces with other disciplines; Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design; Liaising with the Project Manager and the client to keep them informed of all developments associated with the project; Providing both leadership and technical advice to project team members; Managing design development, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications; and Providing direction to the project team, leading by example to achieve sector goals and championing a quality, innovative, client-focused and entrepreneurial culture. 

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You are a degree qualified engineering professional with professional accreditation and will come to us with:

Demonstrated years of relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge; Demonstrated experience in managing utility approval processes for major utility relocation and protection designs on infrastructure projects; Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills; Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally; and Experience of working in multi discipline design and/or project teams.
