The Role:
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on complex contract management issues, balancing commercial viability with business needs.
- Maintain contract management systems in line with quality and governance standards.
- Conduct regular analysis and reporting on supplier and contract performance.
- Lead negotiations and manage variations or terminations of contracts, ensuring quality control throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor for emerging contractual issues and implement mitigation measures to address them effectively.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, serving as the go-to contact for all contractual inquiries.
- Keep all contract management documentation organized and compliant with governance standards.
- Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders for legal contract matters.
- Facilitate meetings to address all contract-related issues and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
- Review and maintain supplier certification requirements to ensure compliance with contract obligations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop briefing notes, reports, and correspondence related to contract management activities.
- Work with the Contract Manager to continuously enhance contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Prepare insightful reports on contract management service delivery to support ongoing improvements.
- Contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused, and innovative contract management team within the Supply Chain Services Business Unit.
- Assist in managing relationships with sub-contractors and vendors.
What you will need:
- At least 2-5 years experience in a procurement/contracts role.
- Tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing a procurement function or improving existing procurement practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
