**The Position**
**Position Title**: CAMHS Parenting Program Coordinator
**Classification**: NP75-NP77, YB24-YB27, YC46-YC49
**Hours per fortnight**: 80 (including an ADO every 4 weeks)
**Employment Status**: Full Time (or part time option available if preferred)

**Role Description**
In the context of an integrated multidisciplinary community mental health team, and under the direction of the Manager and team Psychiatrist (s), the CAMHS Parenting Program Coordinator will provide support and leadership to their designated clinical teams. Providing clinical oversight to the development and facilitation of a group -based parenting program for parents and caregivers of children accessing The Infant, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing Hub. The Programs will be evidenced based and focused on helping parents develop effective strategies of responding to their child’s behaviours and emotions along with strengthening relationships in the family dynamics.
The clinician will also be responsible for assessing the needs of the participants in the group and referring them on to appropriate services (internal and external) where required. The delivery of group programs will be face to face and the clinician will be responsible for ensuring ease of access for parents to attend the groups. This may require groups to be run in regional areas, after hours in the evenings or on weekends. The clinicians work hours will need to be flexible in order to accommodate for this.
**The Team**
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment area in Victoria stretching from Swan Hill in the north of the state to Gisborne in the south.
