**About the Role**:
**In this role you will**:

- Working under the direction of the Team Leader, Development Licences, support the implementation of EPA’s permissioning framework to ensure that scheduled activities, infrastructure, and other development projects are appropriately authorised under the Environment Protection Act 2017, including that proponents understand and minimise or eliminate risks of harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
- Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.
- Support continuous improvement in EPA’s permissioning function, including the review and updating of permissioning processes, policies, and procedures; establishment of learning and development materials; analysis and reporting on performance.
- As required based on prioritised demand, issue operating licences and pilot project licences; support the periodic review of licences and the development and maintenance of EPA’ s condition library for permissions.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications is desirable.
- Experience in permissioning, preferably within Government.
- Knowledge of the Environment Protection Act 2017 and regulations.
- Management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver services and support consistent with organisational priorities, including risk identification and management, budget development and management; optimise the allocation and use of resources; and evaluate project / program effectiveness.
- A proven record of achievement in a similar role which contributes to organisational excellence, high standards of performance and a positive organisational culture.
