**Claims Specialist - Excess of Loss and Reinsurance Workers Compensation | Personal Injury | NSW, VIC, WA, QLD, ACT & SA**

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Speciality Claims, this role purpose is to provide specialist advice and support to Self-Insured Customers of Personal Injury on all aspects of Excess of Loss claims management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure Reinsurance matters are identified, reported, and recovered.
This is a permanent opportunity working within a flexible work environment that offers hybrid working options.
**You'll be responsible for**:
- Maintain a focus on strategic collaboration and claims management through monitoring and assessing Excess of Loss claims within the insured’s retention levels.
- Provision of accurate calculation and monthly reporting on losses to all stakeholders where claims exceed the insured’s retention levels.
- Assess, monitor, and facilitate Allianz reinsurance liability recoveries in accordance with Allianz Treaty contracts, guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant insurance guidelines, legislation and regulations court decision impacting functions and policy changes, recommending changes to Allianz policies and procedures as required for continuous improvement.
- Advise on and support the implementation of improvement opportunities to deliver improved outcomes for customer experience, and business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the engagement with business unit representatives in program initiation, governance, development, and deployment.
- Support the development and growth of stakeholder relationships.
**Important to your success**:
- Extensive experience in handling processes and procedures across ‘Excess of Loss’ claim management and Reinsurance management within a national workers compensation insurance or self-insurance environment.
- Proven experience within Self Insurance, Account Management, or Intermediary within a Workers compensation environment
- Proven capability to manage change through the initiation and promotion of organisational transformation, leveraging effective process, collaboration, and communication to foster commitment and participation.
- Demonstrated experience in stability clause calculations, recovery of reinsurance payments and managing indexation combined with the capability to lead strategic planning activities into commercial operationalisation.
- Extensive background in proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks to enhance industry positioning.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
