Facilities and Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced **Facilities and Operations Manager.** In this position you will be responsible for the commercial and day to day operations of the site, provide leadership, training and support, workforce management, customer development and liaison, budget management. This site is the prototype for all future Australian sites and and is Australia’s first external reprocessing plant of reusable medical devices and instruments. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a strong leader with a background in engineering and facilities management. This role is based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
**About the role**:
- Full P&L accountability for the facility. You understand financial reports and have a proven ability to focus on managing and reducing costs to improve profitability.
- Ensure the facility expenditure and costs are managed vigorously and according to budget allocations.
- Work with Management team to meet operating budgets, conduct performance analysis and business plans, to ensure quality and compliance, accuracy and timeliness to improve profitability.
- Strong customer liaison skills.
- Experience in corrective action - root cause analysis and risk assessment
- You will be innovative and solution-focused.
- Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders means excellent interpersonal, communication and representation skills are essential to be successful.
**About you**:
- Recognised **Engineering** and or **Facility Management** Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification or training.
- Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in Risk Management.
- Safety and Health Representative training.
- Experienced in either hospital administration or manufacturing facility management including all aspects of staff management, plant and services.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead, inspire and mentor a culture of high-quality standards
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
