**About the role**
A rewarding opportunity to join HammondCare and make a difference in the quality of life of people living with dementia and their families on a** Fixed Term Full-Time Contract until End of June 2025 **with flexible work options (Hybrid/WFH) from any of our office locations in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

As a Data & Information Officer (Research Assistant), you will be part of a national team of data analysts working to collect and analyse information that informs the research objectives of the Dementia Centre and HammondCare.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare high-quality outputs for a range of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to academic publications, industry articles, conference presentations, and Australian Government reports
- Analyse and report on data collected with limited oversight and with appropriate statistical methods and appropriate statistical software
- Complete data collection, analysis, and research in a timely manner
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy of information input into systems and any publications
- Ensure timely, efficient, and effective clinical and data interpretation to stakeholders
- Work with HammondCare staff, including Dementia Centre service managers, team leaders, consultants and clinical specialists, to follow-up health and demographic information of people supported by HammondCare services and in line with HammondCare policies and frameworks
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager (Data & Information) to review administrative and operational performance.
- Effectively manage customer complaints or challenging situations as they arise, with early notification to management to assist with de-escalation.

**What do we need from you?**
- Strong ability to communicate technical and/or health related information to a range of audiences (including academic, industry, and Government) both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in a variety of data analysis software programs (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata, R)
- Competence to collect and clean health related data using appropriate skills in outlier detection, data normalisation and data transformation.
- Competence to analyse health related data with appropriate descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Excellent initiative and an ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with data visualization software programs (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Flourish) highly desirable
