**The Role**
As part of the Strategic Reporting team, you will be provided a unique opportunity to understand the breadth of work undertaken across ASD, and ASD’s contribution to Government’s strategic awareness. Once in the role, you will be responsible for producing a range of reports for the consumption of senior decision makers across ASD and Government, providing situational awareness throughout the Australian Intelligence Community. Our products are key in building partnerships across government and with our international partners, giving analysts in the team a unique opportunity to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.

As a Customer Engagement Officer you will work as a representative of ASD, and as part of a collaborative team, to develop and maintain close working relationships with Ministerial customers, Federal government departments, industry and diverse teams across ASD to improve outcomes for government. You will be required to support ASD senior leadership and intelligence production teams by providing advice on customer requirements and issues while ensuring the effective delivery of timely Sigint products and services to customers, including seniors and Ministers. You will be responsible for briefing senior leadership on issues of significance, including representing ASD at events, as directed by ASD leadership.

**About our Team**
ASD is looking to fill a number of roles across two teams: Strategic Reporting and ASD Customer Engagement.

Strategic Reporting is looking for natural problem-solvers who can draw out strategically relevant information in large volumes of reporting, and communicate the relevance to senior customers. Analysts in Strategic Reporting will produce high level reports to further ASD’s strategic objectives, support Whole-of-Government initiatives, and drive outcomes of benefit to Australia’s national interest. These products are impactful and timely, to ensure ASD can best meet customer requirements.

ASD Customer Engagement (ACE) is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals for Customer Liaison Officer positions. We are seeking individuals with a high level of interpersonal communication skills; an ability to prioritise and be a self-starter; and a good strategic understanding of ASD and its relationship with Government.

- The ability to work collaboratively and constructively within a team and with a range of stakeholders to improve outcomes for government;
- An ability to handle highly sensitive information in accordance with applicable policy and security requirements;
- Consult with customers to develop an understanding of intelligence requirements, and support customers to make best use of intelligence for their business needs;
- The ability to absorb, understand and synthesise large volumes of information;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
