**The Role**

In its 185th year, David Jones is undertaking a dynamic organisational wide transformation as part of its new Australian ownership structure. To deliver our Vision2025+ strategy, David Jones is creating a newly reshaped Technology function to transform how we create omnichannel environments that _inspire like no other_.

The Technical Support Lead will oversee our technology support specialists team. Leveraging your proven technology expertise, you will lead a diverse team as they manage complex technical support queries and operations across all key business lines and domains. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager you will also be responsible for overseeing vendor management and ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication with all external technology partners.

The role will suit a collaborative and organized technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced and commercially evolving environments.

**Key responsibilities include**
- Develop strong relationships with key functional stakeholders and external vendors, fostering a customer-centric approach and ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Lead, inspire and motivate a continuous improvement mindset across the team to delight our customers while delivering against clearly communicated business objectives
- Develop and implement best practices for incident management, problem resolution, and escalation procedures
- Ensure all SLAs are achieved for assigned incidents and requests
- Manage and prioritize the team's workload, ensuring that all support requests are addressed promptly and in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure all configurations and deployments carried out efficiently and of high quality by review of the teams work
- Ensure continuous improvement of MTTR incidents and request assigned to the team

**What are we looking for?**
- Dedicated experience in a similar leadership role across technical support teams ideally with a retail or consumer orientated environment
- Proven experience in managing vendor partnerships including contract management to ensure delivery of high-quality products and services
- Proven leadership/interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Knowledge of retail technology solutions, including eCommerce, inventory/warehouse management software and appropriate reporting/scheduling tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into easily understood themes
- A curious and critical thinking mindset with a solution orientated approach
- Degree or equivalent certification in computer science, information systems or a related field
