The Head of Paid Media & Strategy is a leadership position within the business, responsible for leading the paid media team. The primary focus on this role is to oversee the smooth operations across all paid media services, thinking strategically and creatively, and driving success across all paid media channels, ensuring commercial growth and profitability of the team.

The role empowers the team to drive outstanding results for our clients, implementing and evolving best practices and service sophistication, and continues to push boundaries across media and performance.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Incorporates creativity into everything they do. This requires a leadership style that ensures brilliant basics, but also a style that knows how to challenge conservative thinking, develop and sell big fame-driving creative media campaigns that make a true impact on culture.
- Inspires and leads collaboration across all areas of the business from Account Service, Earned and the Creative & Content team.
- Has an in-depth understanding of both performance and brand building media strategies and channels (both digital and traditional).

Some specifics on the role:

- Leading the paid media team, building close and meaningful relationships, empowering the team to ensure they thrive.
- As a member of the senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and representing the paid media team at a senior level.
- Identifying opportunities to grow your business unit across existing and new clients. This includes managing annual contract negotiations, ensuring profitability, and leading new business pitches.
- Successful delivery of exceptional best-in-class services to our client partners.
- Develop and lead paid media strategies, ensuring industry leading implementation of comprehensive audience led paid media campaigns.
- Drive consistent and ongoing strategic thought into new, innovative and creative media campaigns.
- Continue to evolve and optimise our performance media offering, including adaption of industry leading technology.
- Oversee at a high level the execution of paid social, performance advertising, affiliate marketing, SEO, programmatic and paid media.
- Staying ahead of industry trends and continuously innovating to keep WiredCo at the forefront of digital and media advertising.
- Ownership of key clients’ media budgets and effective management of these.
- Oversee and lead strategy reports and presentations, delivering clearly articulated strategic commentary.
- In collaboration with channel leads, drive capacity planning, scope creep management, and owning team structure and resources, ensuring profitability and resource alignment.
- Fostering outstanding relationships across the industry, driving collaboration, securing first to market opportunities, and brokering the best rates and placements in market.

**the experience**:

- Agency side experience, in a leadership or Head Of role for at least 2 years.
- Someone who has either worked in Networked Agencies and who’s ready to step in to the wonderful word of Indie land, or who is from an Indie agency. A combination of both would be amazing
- Experience working on big brands
- Proven leadership ability to grow and empower a high performing paid media team
- Extensive experience in paid media strategy and planning experience across but not limited to paid social, performance advertising, affiliate marketing, SEO, programmatic and paid media
- Implementation experience across; paid search and SEO, paid social, affiliate marketing would be ideal. Extensive programmatic experience is essential.
- Previous on the tools experience, however we are looking for someone who can conduct and drive strategy.
- eCommerce and retail experience essential.
- Big brand experience, and creative media campaign executions essential.
