**About the team**:
Coles Liquor is a trusted retailer with three iconic trading banners, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars. **About the role**:
A senior member of the Commercial Leadership team, this role leads the COE team to ensure the success of the banner and the category teams delivery of the Coles Liquor Group (CLG) strategy.

Your core role will be the establishment and governance of the CLG Commercial strategy. This will encompass the need to define and govern the Range and Space strategy, Value Strategy, Better buying & supplier engagement framework, our Exclusive Brand strategy and our Quality & Sustainability strategy.

You’ll also:

- Act as a key leader for the GM of Commercial, driving commercial objectives across the Commercial categories & banners
- Lead many Group Leadership committees on behalf of CLG to ensure we deliver to Group established policy governance, including sustainability, human rights & ethical sourcing committees
- Act as the key interface to many industry groups (including Advantage Group), lead external communication and be accountable for delivery of the annual supplier forum
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to BCMs, supporting them to enable each banner’s differentiated customer proposition

**About you and your skills**:
You are an experienced Retail Operational Manager and have led significant supplier engagements / negotiations and understand the fundamentals of category buying.

You’ll also have:

- Extensive experience in a senior business category manager or customer (Trade Planning) role
- Proven experience in retail/category strategy development and implementation
- Have experience in developing and delivering strategic outcomes through an approach of strong influence, analytical and collaborative skills and drive for results
- Cross functional team leadership and stakeholder management and influence
- Significant change management / project management experience within a supply chain environment
- Deep knowledge of retail merchandise and retail store operations processes and systems
