**About the Role**

The Health and Safety Officer role will contribute towards a positive safety culture across Yooralla by providing support to the Health Safety & Wellbeing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn, grow and develop their career in health and safety.

**Specific Role Responsibilities**
- To provide administrative assistance to Yooralla’s Health Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) function.
- Provide administrative support for the Emergency Planning Committee and Safety Leadership Committee, including recording and follow up actions and tasks.
- Provision accurate minutes of meetings to participants and relevant groups.
- To assist with training requirements of site personnel including inductions, prestart, toolbox talks, manual handling and emergency response.
- Support HS&W Business Partners with day-to-day safety practices on sites which may include assisting with audits, information gathering and sharing.
- To support the HS&W team, coordinate diaries and resources to ensure effective facilitation and delivery of services.
- Provide support to staff in relation to collecting data, information, responding to enquiries and coordination of materials to assist the HS&W Business Partners in their daily tasks.
- Assist and support the HS&W Manager with the development of reporting documentation and information.
- Assist with site inspections and task-based assessments and assist with the implementation of corrective actions as required.
- Collate and provide information to assist in identifying emerging risks from data and reporting on these matters to the HS&W Manager.
- Assist with injury management processes and return to work plans.
- Coordinate emergency response documentation as it relates to conducting of drills and training and provide coordination and provision of materials to WH&S BPs and Manager.
- Provide administrative support to the Commander of the Incident Response Team as required.

**About You**:

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Current National Police Record Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current driver's licence to drive in Australia
- An up-to-date Immunisation History/COVID-19 Digital Certificate or formal evidence

of a vaccination exemption.

**Professional Experience**
- Certificate IV in Health and Safety (or similar)
- Previous industry experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Drivers Licence

**Personal Skills and Attributes**
- This position will require an individual who is disciplined, passionate about health and safety and is committed to performing to a high standard.
