Housing Choices Australia (Housing Choices) being one of the largest not-for-profit housing providers in Australia is currently navigating a strategic phase of growth, marked by collaboratives efforts with the government to address the critical issue of the housing crisis. **Description**:
We currently have an exciting opportunity at Housing Choices Australia for a Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the position will play a critical role in the organisation by spearheading the development and maintenance of complex financial models for prospective tenders and live transactions. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure accurate financial modelling, thorough due diligence, and comprehensive analysis, contributing to informed decision-making. The position will require concurrent engagement with multiple opportunities and will work across all Housing Choices nationally.
With several opportunities anticipated in the first half of 2024, it will be essential that the successful applicant possess adaptability, rapid learning capabilities, and the ability to seamlessly transition into active involvement.

The position is a national role and can be located at any of HCA premises across our various states.

**Skills and Experiences**:
- Proven experience in Excel based financial modelling (including macros) for projects procuring debt finance via asset backed lending or cashflow lending, preferably in the context of commercial property transactions.
- Sound and proven experience in analysis of financial data and extract information to compile management reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
- Solid track record in the accounting / financial management field incorporating both commercial and non-profit sector experience ideally with a property background.
- Ability to analyse data and trends to make informed and strategic recommendations.
- Corporate financial knowledge, budget management training, and research skills.
- Innovative thinking and analytical knowledge for assessment and interpretation of data.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management.
- Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and high work volumes without affecting quality of service and delivery.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as effectively within a team environment to achieve team outcomes.
- Flexible and ability to adapt to changing requirement/environment.
- Self-starter and high level of organisational skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong commitment and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment which is critical to achieving desired financial and impact outcomes.
