We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Analyst to join our team. With the support of our Commercial and Partnerships Manager, this role will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of pricing and retention strategies to maximise Betfair’s revenue. Collaborating with key internal stakeholders, the Commercial Analyst will utilise complex code and data-driven processes to assist the commercial team.

**With great progression and career development opportunities, a normal day in the role of a Commercial Analyst includes**:

- Collaborate with key areas of the business to analyse, trial and recommend bespoke customer pricing and retention initiatives to deliver maximum revenues.
- Assist the Commercial team by providing input into product fee models and submissions to racing and sports partners, as well as supporting initiatives to promote these partners.
- Analyse information using statistical/data analysis techniques to provide key insights.
- Participate in the development/implementation of data governance and standards.
- Support Betfair’s loyalty strategy. Work closely with the Commercial, High Value and Customer Service teams to implement bespoke customer initiatives to improve liquidity on Australian racing and sports markets.

**What you will bring**:

- Data analysis skills and knowledge of SQL programming (essential)
- Familiarity with data wrangling languages like R or Python
- Strong MS Excel skills
- The ability to work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
- Strong problem solver with an ability to identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
- High level of numeracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Great interpersonal skills including an ability to develop key relationships
- Self-motivated with strong personal drive
- Ability to work autonomously
- A passion for sports and/or racing A relevant tertiary degree
