**Purpose of the role**:
The role of Accounts and Administration Assistant is integral to the smooth running of the Accounts Department and the Office in general. The role will report to and work closely with our Accounts Executive assisting with accounts payable and receivable, data entry and record keeping and will also be responsible for general reception and administration tasks. The role will also be required to provide assistance to the management team as required.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
**Accounts**
- Assisting with the accounts payable and receivable function
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Accurate record keeping
- Data entry in Zero

**Office administration**
- Answering the phone and handling enquiries
- Data entry
- Filing
- Greeting stakeholders
- Keeping the office neat & tidy
- Ordering office supplies & catering as needed
- Create and maintain processes that will aid in the smooth running of the office (i.e. meeting room diary)
- Communicate any team messages via the Teams Channels as directed
- Assisting HR with the onboarding of new staff (organising ID cards, monitoring compliance documentation and data entry)
- Assisting in the coordination of any training or events (researching venues or catering etc)
- Identifying and implementing new processes to create efficiencies in administration
- Other general office duties as directed

**Core competencies**
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organisational skills, strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail
- Must be tech savvy, proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, Teams, Word, Outlook & Excel)

**Education & Experience**
- Minimum education is the completion of grade 12 of equivalent
- At least two years of work experience in an accounts/administration role
- Completed studies in Office Administration or Bookkeeping held in high regard
- Experience in Xero highly regarded
- Strong Excel skills

**General skills**
- Excellent people skills, empathetic and patient
- A proactive team player with a “can do attitude” who enjoys collaboration
- Strong work ethic with the desire to learn and contribute to the team
- A self-starter who can work efficiently without constant supervision and effectively problem solve
- Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and professional at all times

The role will be part-time initially (25-30 hours per week) with the potential to increase if the role grows. The role will be based in our office in Springwood, please note that hybrid working is not offered with this role.

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
