What this job involves
The role of the Facilities Manager is to act as the Landlord’s representative on site. It involves being responsible and accountable for the management of key SA assets, and associated plant and equipment, with maintenance and deliveries being performed with mínimal disruptions to the tenants.

**The priority always should be**:
The health, safety and security of all visitors and occupants.
Ensure maintenance contractors perform their planned and reactive maintenance with due care and effectiveness
The presentation of the property and the implementation of tenant retention strategies

Key Responsibilities
Delivery of proactive maintenance and statutory compliance across the portfolio
Effective management of property consultants and contractors.
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and good facilities management practices in relation to maintenance of the property structure, façade, fittings, finishes and services across the portfolio.
Ensure JLL systems for compliance with Environmental and Workplace Health and Safety requirements including contractor induction, the preparation of site-specific risk management plans and safe work method statements are met.
Advise senior staff and stakeholders of incidents and events that occur.
Maintain building documentation & ensure registers are up to date.
Obtain quotations for minor repairs/rectification to plant and equipment.
Review the operational procedures to ensure their adequacy to responding to emergency issues that arise from time to time.

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager who is people driven and to be seen to be “kicking goals” for the clients. Some experience in the management of the broad spectrum of building services with emphasis on managing a portfolio of multi-story commercial assets and their systems including fire systems, electrical and building intelligence would be preferable.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential and a reasonable level of computer literacy, with the ability to expand these skills as necessary would be beneficial.
