**The Company**:
A major festival in the space is looking for a great new Festival Producer to join their team for a contract role with an immediately start for a period of 8 months. This major festival have a sensational internal team and this new role within the team that will be responsible for a determined part of the festival.

**The Role**:
Reporting into the Executive Operations Producer, the Festival Producers will lead, facilitate and project manage the development, planning and the delivery of one part of the festival. This role will include engaging with local businesses and the general community. Part of this role will include discussions with local councils, road closures for the event, handling pedestrian transportation and route planning. This role will be required to work with the creative team and also be responsible for managing live stages and acts within a sector of the festival.

Key Responsibilities include;
- Lead, facilitate and project manage the development, planning and the delivery of a major part of the festival
- Ensure that the projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and within the values and goals.
- Work closely with the Festival Creative Director to create events that showcase the major themes for the festival. Their vision will be executed namely via environmental styling and performing talent at this event.
- Work with all teams to ensure projects and events are compliant with all relevant legislation and best practices, including health and safety (COVID-19), accessibility and sustainability.
- Oversee the procurement of any specialist technical, production and operations suppliers (such as event agencies, catering suppliers, etc) and requirements to enable and support the delivery of the festival, ensuring that the project keeps to timeline and budget.
- Execute the festival community engagement strategy, which includes local businesses, community groups and government stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against milestones and project timelines to deliver to schedule and within budget and report back to the Executive Operations Producer on a regular basis.
- Work with the Artist Team to ensure seamless management of all artists and cultural partners; securing all rights, permissions and copyright for materials in the delivery of creative projects.
- Work with the Volunteer Team to ensure seamless integration and execution.
- Assist the Partnerships team where possible to create revenue-generating opportunities.
- Make decisions and act within the core values, strategic plans and priorities, legislative and regulatory frameworks, practice standards, delegations, agency policy and procedures
- Create a detailed project plan, and adhere to its deadlines and milestones
- Liaise with venues and government stakeholders as required, including securing permits and event approvals
- Attend relevant networking events, some of which will be out of hours
- Collaborate with the team of Festival Producers
- Oversee festival budgets and ensure compliance with financial policies and manage the delivery of work programs against approved budgets
- Ensure accessibility and sustainability strategies are implemented at the events
- Other duties as discussed in line with expertise, experience and funding available

You will have experience managing and producing large scale festivals and/or major events. Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of event production and management. You will have had a creative production background and knowledge of live music and staging requirements as well as food and beverage and working with local councils and getting the correct approvals.
- Significant experience in organising large scale events with live music talent
- Extensive experience in and knowledge of all aspects of event production, management and presentation, including outdoor event experience with road closures
- Demonstrated relationship management skills with a proven record maintaining strong relationships across numerous stakeholder groups both internal and external.
- An understanding of and direct experience working with local government departments and agencies.
- An understanding of and direct experience working with First Nations communities, including traditional owners, local community groups, land councils and suppliers
- An understanding of and direct experience working in broadcast highly desired
- Exceptional Project Management skills
- Demonstrated team management expertise
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure in fast paced environments with tight deadlines
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Outstanding interpersonal, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively both autonomously, and in a team capacity, showing initiative and balancing competing demands
