People and Business Services is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for providing business enabling people and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture and to support integrated operations

**About what you will be doing**

The Team Leader Briefings and Correspondence supports the Manager, Briefings and Correspondence by effectively managing a team in day-to-day operations - ensuring timely, accurate delivery of ministerial briefings and correspondence, and in resolving stakeholder enquiries
You will work closely with the relevant ministerial offices, the Secretary's office, and the broader executive team to ensure the department and its agencies deliver high quality coordinated correspondence to the portfolio ministers.

Provide effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.
Maintain effective service enabling relationships across the Department, Ministers' offices, and other government departments.
Ensure tight and conflicting deadlines have been appropriately prioritised and met in a timely manner that ensures adherence to operational procedures and governance.
Present complex, confidential and sensitive information with a high level of understanding, succinctness, and discretion.
Use well-developed verbal and written communication skills to present, persuade, advocate, and negotiate on complex issues.
Effectively contribute ideas, demonstrate initiative, collaborate and delivering a solutions-based approach in the management of issues.
Lead area initiatives and projects that support continuous improvement to standards, process guidelines and documentation in management of briefings and correspondence across DTP and with key stakeholders.
Promote and support safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations.

- Able to consider a broad range of topics (beyond immediate area of work), works across government and at senior levels to develop and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Ability to builds relationship at senior levels

A keen collaborator you relish in you resilience and will posses a demonstarted history of adapting to systems and processes quickly

**Qualifications and Experience**

Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading a cohesive team responsible for high volume delivery of correspondence and service excellence.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of government services, processes, and systems.
- Understanding of programs, policies and issues within the Transport and Planning sector (or the ability to develop).
