The Team Leader reports to the Manager, Regulatory Advisory, and assists the Manager in providing leadership to, and management of, the Regulatory Advisory Team. This role will involve a number of direct reports. Using risk-based regulatory practices, the position is responsible for assisting the Manager with both the regulatory functions of the Commission and achievement of good investigative practice for reportable conduct scheme investigations. This will involve undertaking case management duties on reportable conduct allegations where required in a way that always prioritises child safety.

In this role you will:

- Provide authoritative advice and recommendations to the Commission Executive Team on regulatory activity and actions relating to RCS allegations
- Provide operational leadership identifying, analysing, reviewing and responding to emerging issues and areas of risk
- Work with the Manager and Team Leader to manage and lead the team, ensuring individual and team responsibilities are clear, performance is managed, and capability development and support is provided to staff
- Review, prepare and present a range of comprehensive reports, briefs, correspondence and submissions on complex operational issues
