**Description**:
Ensure that our warehouse and distribution function support the BBQG customer value proposition (CVP). Manage the interface between BBQG, our 3PL warehouse provider and our freight providers. Ensure a close working relationship and assist in the control of our warehousing and freight needs including the delivery of performance and cost KPI’s. Directly negotiate freight requirements including the recommendation of providers for each route based on capability, performance, technology, innovation and cost. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Operations

Ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis of performance, commercials and CI.
Develop and maintain cost and pricing models for transport needs
Ensure BBQG & legislative requirements are met at all times
Identify & drive continuous improvement initiatives; deliver in full and on time to support the required three-year forecast performance and financial outcomes.

Collaboration

Manage and chair monthly, quarterly and annual supplier performance reviews.
Manage and develop the Supply Chain Administrator
Recommend freight providers for each route, including rate negotiations, to deliver the performance and cost outcomes required to support the three-year forecast performance and financial outcomes

Quality

Deliver against the BBQG customer value proposition ( CVP ).
Ensure 3PL and freight provider adherence to KPI “Base” performance at a minimum driving to “Excellent” levels.
Deliver “best in class” performance & commercial outcomes.

**Qualifications**:
A formal or tertiary qualification would be looked upon favourable but demonstrated performance and values are the overriding prerequisite to selection for the position

**Experience**:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the warehouse and distribution function preferably in bulky goods.
Proven track record in managing then improving national warehousing across multiple sales channels.
Previous management of multiple warehouse sites including 3PL’s.
Previous experience in selecting, negotiating rates then managing freight providers.

**Knowledge**:
National freight industry providers and cost drivers
Freight & warehouse best practice
Freight & warehouse technology
Inventory and lifecycle management
Planning and WMS
Understand the influence & potential of IT systems and data management
Dangerous goods & AQIS requirements
