**About Us**
Thales Australia operates across multiple business lines in maritime and land defence domains, air traffic management, secure communications, and digital identity and security. As a Contract Manager at Thales, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the contractual relationships between Thales and its customers, partners, and subcontractors.
**Your Role**
- Optimise Thales' profitability by minimising contractual and commercial risks, while seeking commercial opportunities during project execution.
- Contribute to establishing a robust project baseline by understanding and mitigating contractual implications and risks in bids and tenders.
- Protect Thales' commercial position through effective contract lifecycle management.
**Qualifications**
Experience with the ASDEFCON suite, performance-based contracting, and contracting for managed services is highly regarded but not essential, depending on specific roles.
**Reporting Structure**
You will report functionally to the Legal & Contracts function for the specific business area and programmatically to the project manager of the supported project. Thales Australia operates within a matrix organisation to deliver its expected project outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your key activities will include:
- Leading contract management outcomes for identified bids and projects, including strategic negotiations and supporting procurement strategies.
- Managing contractual relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Supporting relationship and supplier management with major subcontractors.
- Monitoring, and identifying opportunities for, improved contract performance.
- Administering contractual baselines through leading contract change processes and maintenance of contract deliverables, including IP schedules.
- Managing complex internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographical locations.
- Provision of contract and commercial advice to key stakeholders.
- Maintaining consistency and alignment of Thales acquisition, sustainment, product, and services contracts.
- Ensuring alignment of major supplier subcontracts with Thales and customer contract requirements.
