The Company:   
   
Our client is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry and is looking for a Visual Merchandising Manager to join their team on a 13-14 month fixed term contract. This position reports to the Head of Retail Brand & Experience based at the Sydney Olympic Park Office. This role requires an individual to work 4 days in the office and 1-day WFH.  
 
About the Role  
 
You will collaborate with the portfolio leaders to focus on developing branding and artwork to be used across all multi-layered campaigns, across all stores and fixture types. You will also be responsible for creating innovative and compelling design solutions and executing retail graphics, 3D props, windows, tool kits, and more. You will be the brand custodian and ensure alignment with strategic priorities, category launches and the brand messaging calendar. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  
1: Retail Guidelines  

  • Execution of the global and local visual merchandising strategy across Open and Operator channels and Branded Retail 
  • Ensure HQ VM guidelines are consistently executed 
  • Execute innovative window concepts, and displays in line with brand direction 
  • Execute all trade marketing POS solutions and guidelines for channel partners to produce from 
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of visual image and enhance the corporate brand image across all projects 
  • Ensure all store interiors merchandised in line with the visual merchandising direction and brand standards 
  • Create Visual Merchandising guidelines for all fixtures and store types 

 
2: Artwork and Asset Management  

  • Work cross-functionally with internal Marcoms teams on key asset allocations, messaging and localization 
  • Create the visual guidelines of assets for internal teams and channel partners to follow 
  • Manage project tracker, actively collate and shares creative updates with key partners 
  • Download and manage HQ key visuals, product images, lifestyle assets for print   
  • Assets management, logging , recording, and file management on SMC and sharing with agency partner  
  • Manage asset retouching/localization requirements 
  • Adhere to brand guidelines ensuring all assets align with global advertising guidelines 
  • Manage all artwork approvals with key stakeholders, including Legal feedback for all elements 
  • Load final creative into ADLCP for legal recording and auditing 
  • Design and creates Pre Order lock up and application  
  • Produce test prints for colour proofing and quality control sign off  
  • Own and drive the retail section of the campaign Playbook and delivery of asset guidelines to internal and channel partners 

 
3:  Campaign Launches, GTM  

  • Management of creative assets and POS implementation across all open & operator channels, and branded retail. This includes all fixed and promotional in store merchandising elements, all in-store collateral and signage and alignment of in store digital assets. 
  • Develops the artwork matrix for each campaign and launch creative creation for Open & Operator Channels and Branded Retail 
  • Maintain the VM asset catalogue with current assets to support VM activity 
  • Management of creative agency relationships including budget/PO management 
  • Works cross-functionally with internal Marcoms teams on key asset allocations, messaging and localisation of all phases 
  • Manage project tracker, work back schedule  
  • Actively collate and share creative updates with key partners 
  • Innovate and elevate the overall quality of our customer facing creative through new campaign creative & experiential VM initiatives to help drive conversion 
  • Maintain and manage the artwork matrix, ensuring all fixture measurements align and artwork is correct to support campaign activity/execution 
  • Manage creative feedback for all VM activity/assets, with a strong eye for detail 
  • Manage all artwork and key stakeholder approvals, including Legal feedback for all elements, and uploads  final artwork into ADLCP  
  • Management of POS production, ensuring all assets are delivered on time and to the agreed timeline 

 
4: Team Player

5:  Administration  

  • Obtain supplier quotes, manage EO and BQM’s process 
  • Ensure all fee related invoices are tracked monthly, processed and reconciled against the forecast budget 
  • Process invoices for authorisation of payment, ensuring vendors are paid  
  • Monthly reconciliation of budgets and report the status versus budget 
  • Filing and recording of all invoices 
  • Manages and updates the VM calendar 

 
About YOU:   
 

  • At least 5 years of relevant (preferably Retail Design, Retail Marketing or design/agency experience. 
  • Experience in retail POSM solutions, advertising, marketing, corporate identity, brand management, sales promotion, and digital  
  • Strong project planning and project management skills 
  • Clear communication skills  
  • Strategic thinking, to accomplish business objectives, overcome obstacles, and address challenges 
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Financial management of invoices, budgets & PO’s 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft content and messaging for a range of POS requirements 
  • Structured/analytical thinker with outstanding attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently, able to work a flexible schedule, and embrace change and ambiguity enthusiastically
