**About the team**
The Ben Beale Laboratory is situated within the School of Human Sciences. The School of Human Sciences was formed in 2017 as an amalgamation of the School of Anatomy, Physiology & Human Biology and the School of Sports Science, Exercise and Health. The School is one of the largest in the University and makes a significant contribution to the BSc majors in Anatomy and Human Biology, Exercise and Health, Physiology, Neuroscience, Medical Sciences, and Sports Science. The School also play a key role in delivery of doctorate programs in medicine, dental medicine and podiatric medicine.
**About the opportunity**
You will assist in the preparation of cells that will be examined under patch clamp electrophysiology conditions and other activities to support the outcomes of the NHMRC-funded research program. You will work collaboratively with the research team to ensure high quality research outcomes.
**About you**
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification in pathology, microbiology, cell biology or molecular science or biochemistry
- Knowledge of safety issues relating to the use of laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Experience in biochemistry (immunoblot and/or western blot technique) is highly desirable
- Experience staining and imaging tissue is highly desirable
