Role Description
- To ensure all Compass modules are operating effectively, enabling services to students, staff and parents
- Use Compass to coordinate the process of reporting to ensure that parents and members of the community are informed of student progress.
- To administer and coordinate student data systems and testing
- To administer CCTV while ensuring ensure student and staff privacy are maintained at all times

Strategie Expectations/Targets
- To ensure all relevant Compass modules and associated data sources are secure, accurate and functioning as intended.
- Use the College Data Service, the ACER OARS platform and Literatu to ensure staff and students have up to date information about students and their testing results.

- Work constructively towards achieving the school’s goals as identified in the college’s strategic plan

Some attendance during school term break may be required.

**Responsibilities**:
**Compass School Manager Platform**
- Provide direct support to College students, families and_ _staff as required.
- Troubleshoot Compass related issues as they arise, keeping all relevant parties informed of issues and associated resolutions.
- Work directly with Compass support services to assist in the resolution of issues.
- Support students, families and staff in the use of varied Compass modules
- Investigate and promote the use of Compass modules that will support the College.
- Complete online Compass Module Training
- Stay apprised of Compass new releases that may be of benefit for the College to implement
- Ensure staffroom contact numbers are kept up-to-date on Compass
- Work with the College IT technicians regarding:

- College network related issues affecting Compass
- Username and password access and distribution
- Work with the College Timetabler and Daily Organiser to ensure:

- Compass accurately reflects class and event schedule(s)
- staff access to class roll marking is maintained

**School Reporting**
- Coordinate the process of reporting to ensure that parents and members of the community are informed of student assessment and progress.
- Support new and replacement staff by providing access and support in completing reports on Compass
- Develop a clear timeline for reporting process in consultation with the Reporting and Assessment Leader and Teaching and Learning Assistant Principal
- Be responsible for providing a PDF copy of reports to the office for storage on the Administration network
- Communicate the publication of reports to the school community
- Work with the relevant Leader(s) of Learning to:

- ensure timely access to reporting functions is maintained and communicated to staff via the staff newsletter
- administer Semester and Progress Report cycles at the College
- ensure that all reporting items and descriptions remain up to date
- ensure all aspects of CSM pertinent to the College are maintained and improved as required, in alignment with College priorities and processes
- provide regular updates regarding reporting completion progress (Semester, Progress, etc.)
- Provide instructions and support for teachers in the use of the reporting package implemented by the College
- Administer “DNP” codes on learning tasks for absent students
- Work with the Year Level Leaders to ensure that:

- Chronicle items are created and maintained
- Insights Goal Setting is organised
- tallies are reset each semester
- Reset and Reflect staffing is managed
- “at risk” data is collated and distributed to coordinators following progress reports and semester reports
- Work with the Business Manager to ensure that:

- regular and accurate updates to student, staff and family information occurs as scheduled
- assessment data is provided for uploading to relevant DET databases / management systems

**Data**

Administer student data systems and programs to support staff in teaching and learning, and student engagement and wellbeing.
- Update the College Data Service spreadsheet regularly to reflect class lists changes and add new data.
- Update Literatu regularly through importing data and managing class lists
- Liaise with Literatu to investigate and problem solve program features
