**Hours**: This position is full-time and permanent.

**Location**: Location is negotiable as this position can be conducted from home, interstate, rurally, or at any of our Sonder locations.

**About the Role**:
Sonder is striving to be a culturally safe choice for Community to access health and wellbeing services and this rare opportunity will enable you to live your personal values on a daily basis.

The Aboriginal Services Manager will enhance the organisation’s cultural capability, lead the development and implementation of the Cultural Capability Framework, and manage the external Aboriginal Advisory Group. They will provide recommendations for internal cultural governance, support Sonder leaders on cultural safety, and oversee the CTG program to ensure exceptional service delivery and client outcomes. Additionally, they will maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including ACCOs/ACCHOs.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Demonstrated connection with the local Aboriginal Community
- Knowledge and understanding of the diversity amongst Aboriginal People
- Experience in leading quality improvement activities in health settings.
- Experience in forming and leading groups.
- Experience providing advice on cultural matters and considerations to senior executive staff.
- Must be proactive, committed and reliable
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of people and organisations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to critique and inform policies and procedures on cultural matters.

**Qualification and Other Requirements**:

- Current unrestricted motor vehicle license
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Health-field related qualifications (eg. Nursing, APH/AHW, allied health).
- Must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
