**Duties**

The Manager Aboriginal Offender Management and Rehabilitation Services reports to the Executive Director Aboriginal Services and is located within the Aboriginal Services Directorate (ASD). The role is responsible for providing leadership for the suitable placement of Aboriginal prisoners, the provision of cultural advice, Aboriginal Offender management, crisis intervention, overseeing the facilitation of Aboriginal men’s Criminogenic programs and cultural response for Aboriginal women’s intervention. The incumbent is also responsible for researching and developing Aboriginal therapeutic rehabilitation programs that meet the unique, diverse and gendered needs of Aboriginal prisoners and offenders.

**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
- A flexible approach to working hours is required.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

**Requirements**:
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Adult Education, Social Work, Human Services or Anthropology to a standard approved by the Chief Executive.

**Remuneration**

ASO7 ($106,512 - $115,137pa)
