**About the Team**
Uber has recently launched Uber Direct, an on-demand delivery service for business customers. The last-mile delivery market is estimated to be worth upwards of $7.5b AUD in Australia, with rapidly increasing consumer preference for on-demand services. Uber Direct has the potential to support on-demand delivery across a range of customer verticals - restaurants, supermarkets, non-food retailers, and many more use cases yet to be discovered. We are creating something brand new Many of the problems we face are new for Uber and require creative solutions that cater to different customers, we're able to solve them because we deeply care **#BuildwithHeart.**
**About the Role**
You'll help drive business growth and innovation in this role by working closely with the third-party ecosystem around Uber Direct in Australia and New Zealand through channel partnerships. You will own local partnerships and collaborate with our global business development team on international accounts. Your day will be spent supporting a portfolio of partners, identifying growth opportunities and defining and executing objectives for continued partnership success. We will look to your deep experience managing channel partnerships, strategic thinking, and operational excellence to further establish our partner program.
**Your impact in role**:
- Grow the existing third-party ecosystem around Uber Direct in Australia and New Zealand through mutually beneficial partnerships with ecommerce platforms, POS, and delivery orchestration software providers, just to name a few
- Own the commercial strategy and relationship for these third-party partners to acquire, grow and retain merchants through a shared go-to-market
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience via third-party channels to drive continued merchant growth and adoption of Uber Direct.
- Work with local operations teams to develop excellent merchant onboarding, billing, and account management processes at scale
**The experience you'll bring**:
- A proven track record: You'll have track record in sales, account management, business management, or operations experience in a dynamic environment.
- Additionally, you will have experience managing channel partnerships, partner ecosystems, or alliances, preferably API-led in the SaaS/technology sector.
- Strategic and business acumen. You will be a highly strategic thinker with experience designing creative commercial structures that create shared value, and have an ability to build meaningful relationships quickly
- A technical background of some form. You might not have been an engineer, but you should be comfortable getting deep in the technical details.
