**What does the business unit do?**
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Data, Digital and Insights (DDI) focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes. The specialist groups within DDI consist of Technology Solutions and Evidence and Insights.
Technology Solutions explores and employs modern technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services.
Evidence and Insights is responsible for providing end-to-end evidence-based policy support to the Department of Justice and Community Safety, and the reporting of data and research to the Victorian public through the Crime Statistics Agency and the National Coronial Information System.
**What will the role do?**
This role will work exclusively on NextGen Program based out of Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) business unit delivering the new Fines solution. Working with the Program Control Office, the Program Coordinator plays an important role in the communications and execution of program governance, reporting, delivery and associated processes. The role works closely with stream leads across the program in particular the Program Control Office Manager and Program Delivery Lead. The following are some key accountabilities of the role:
- Assist the Delivery Lead and PCO Manager with the preparation of visual roadmaps, resource allocations, compilation of written documentation, spreadsheets, correspondence and reports
- Provide tracking, evaluation and reporting of risks and issues in collaboration with senior management including presentations and reports on program performance and metrics
- Develop and maintain efficient administration systems and procedures to ensure processes comply with relevant program, departmental and broader VicGov policies and guidelines
- Support senior managers and leadership team with planning and coordination of program activities
- Facilitate meetings, provide secretariat services for assigned program forums including scheduling meetings, preparation of agendas, transcribing accurate minutes and following up on actions
- Support the NextGen Program with general administration & coordination activities and delivery logistics
**What skills and knowledge should a Program Coordinator have?**
- Demonstrated experience as a Program or Project Coordinator within business and/or technology transformation initiative using agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
- Proven attention to detail including an ability to pick up on nuances to provide accurate and comprehensive information when creating or reviewing any reporting and governance content
- Advanced skills in planning, prioritisation, communication, written, presentation and oral.
