**Job description**:
A Canberra based consulting company is seeking a HR Support Officer. With projects currently in place across Australia, the company is rapidly expanding hence looking for a reliable HR Officer ready to hit the ground running

You will support the Head of HR, CEO and other senior management to contribute towards efficient HR operations.

**The role will include**:

- Undertaking HR administrative and payroll duties including providing assistance with recruitment, health and safety, payroll, superannuation and training and development
- Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process along with other team members.
- Orientating new employees and training existing employees.
- Assisting with the recruitment process
- such as organise interviews, sending and checking employment documents, referee checks etc
- Monitoring employee performance.
- Overseeing the health and safety of all employees.
- Providing information on company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.
- Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
- Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policy, procedures, and industrial instruments
- Assistance in timesheet validation and invoice processing
- Respond to HR enquiries
- Any other duties as directed by the Head of HR

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field
- Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as payroll & benefits, recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, training & development etc
- Experience in establishing and maintaining office systems and procedures with attention to detail
