**About the role**
The HR Support Officer is responsible for providing advice and delivering services which assist in managing the employee life cycle, including recruitment and selection, on boarding, learning and development, retention and separation. The HR Support Officer provides administrative support to various teams and assists the delivery of advice based on legislation, policy or procedure. As a HR Support Officer, you will have well-developed organisational skills and good attention to detail. You will be a team player, with strong oral and written communication skills and a willingness to learn.

The HR Support Officer will:

- Assist with the delivery of projects, including researching legislation and/or government policy
- Undertake administrative duties including filing, invoice payment and records management
- Manage secretariat duties for HR committees and meetings
- Respond to routine HR enquiries and provides support to the team
- Input data and compile reports in relation to a range of HR reporting requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

- Demonstrated ability to research and interpret information
- Demonstrated ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, including utilising a positive and proactive approach to problem solving
- Is able to undertake a wide variety of tasks relevant to human resources including analysis and assessment of detailed and sensitive information
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to use technology and information management systems in order to achieve team outcomes
- Ability to contribute constructively to team activities and cultivate productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

**Eligibility**
- **Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
- **Security Clearance** - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
