The Portfolio Manager, Design and Development is responsible for leading and managing, critical and complex healthcare facility projects, including determining Design and Development objectives, strategies and quality standards to deliver objectives that are consistent with agency and whole of government strategies, policies and priorities.

The role leads and manages contract administration functions and services for major healthcare building works contracts including site surveillance, variations, claims and progress payments, technical project, contract preparation, tender evaluation and service provider relationship management.

The Portfolio Manager, Design and Development is also an active lead, representing the Project in the design, integration and installation process for the new hospital, ensuring optimal outcomes are achieved for the South Australian health system. A key focus of the role is to inform and manage services principles and strategies and the approach applied to the Project including delivering leadership, change management and the management of logistics and facility strategies.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
