The opportunity:
We are currently looking to appoint a Design Manager to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for design quality and buildability of a project including liaising with clients and preparing clients briefs, liaising with design consultants and in house estimators, cost planners and programmers as well as coordinating the preparation and documentation, including BIM, CAD and other software systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Manage consultant engagement and design process Manage preparation of preliminary project evaluations and feasibility studies Preparation of scope of work and design brief Manage development of preliminary design concepts Client Relationship management Manage authority approvals including Development Approvals, Building Approvals and local government requirements To be considered, you will possess the following skills and experience: Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management2+ years' experience within a construction company as a design manager or coordinator (or 5+ years' experience as a design consultant with coordination / leadership skills on Design & Construct projects).
Commercial acumen within the building industry Good knowledge of Design & Construction Projects An understanding of a construction process from start of tender to project completion To apply: If you can see yourself in this role, then please apply now with your resume.
