**_About the role
- **

You will report directly to the General Manager, HR who is based in Sydney and will form part of the Queensland regional leadership team. You will have responsibility for leading a large HR and Safety team and the roll out the national HR and Safety strategy.

Partnering with Site and Operations Managers, you will strategise, drive and support across the full suite of human resources including safety, injury management, workforce planning, recruitment and talent management, learning and development, performance monitoring and management, employee counselling, as well data compliance and reporting.

You will maintain and enhance human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices at a tactical level. Further to these responsibilities this position will support the site leadership teams with cost control and operational impact arising from these responsibilities.

- To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate energy, passion, drive and resilience.
- You will have demonstrable experience managing large, multiskilled and regional dispersed team members.
- You enjoy coaching, developing and building the capability of your teams, setting clear KPI’s and holding people accountable.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or other manufacturing environments is highly desirable and it’s expected that you hold tertiary qualifications in HR or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to translate Strategic vision into tactical and operational plans that are fully implemented.
- Strong understanding of business environment, priorities and challenges so as to deliver HR practices and activities that support achievement of business objectives.
