**About the role**

Join us in shaping the future of animal welfare as the General Manager of Animal Operations You will be instrumental in supporting and driving our organisation's vision, purpose, values and objectives through the development and execution of the Animal operation strategic direction. Your passion for empowering our employees, coupled with your ability to deliver exceptional results, provide strong leadership, cultivate industry relationships, and drive continuous improvement, will be key to your success in this role. - Exemplify organisational vision, values, and behaviours, fostering an inclusive, team-focused culture within Animal Operations.
- Provide positive leadership and strategic direction, ensuring regular communication and feedback.
- Maintain fair workload distribution and effective performance management practices.
- Oversee comprehensive staff training and development initiatives.
- Uphold respectful workplace conduct and compliance with regulations.
- Drive a cohesive approach for executing organisational strategies.
- Maximize animal impacts and outcomes efficiently through resource optimization.
- Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders for enhanced impact.
- Develop and maintain operational capabilities and compliance measures.
- Ensure appropriate delivery of Inspectorate services in line with legal requirements.
- Manage budgets and action plans effectively.
- Optimize shelter intake processes and veterinary care for animals.
- Support Wildlife strategies and partnerships for impact optimization.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Bachelor degree in an animal related field (Veterinary, Animal Science, Behaviour, Investigations or Law Enforcement).
- Post graduate qualification in business, commerce, operations, or advanced business analytics.
- Significant experience developing diverse high-performance teams and culture.
- Talent management experience in medium to large organisations.
- Experience in engaging stakeholders and negotiating to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables in a cross-matrix environment.
- Proven track record in recruiting and developing top talent.
- High level of communication capability.
- Ability to translate business strategy into tactical operating plans.
- Proven experience in developing operational management capability, strategy, systems, and infrastructure.
- Comprehensive understanding of digital technologies, trends, and best practices in digital operations and measurement.
- Successful track record at senior leadership level.
- Demonstrated success at senior leadership level.
