Indigenous Programs Manager

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.

**About the role**
Reporting to the Global Director, Indigenous Programs, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Australian Indigenous initiatives within Movember's Indigenous portfolio, as part of a cross functional leadership team.
For the past 10 years in Australia, Canada, USA and New Zealand, Movember has invested in Indigenous social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) research and pilot real world delivery programs, focussing on connection to culture in order to improve men’s health. We will be strengthening our focus and investment in Indigenous SEWB over the next 10 years.
**You’ll have the opportunity to**
- Lead execution of Australian Indigenous initiatives, overseeing partnerships, innovation, and cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate on evaluation and sustainability plans and engage in stakeholder forums globally.
- Foster collaboration across impact portfolios, ensuring Indigenous perspectives guide initiatives.
- Align with Indigenous leaders on design, governance, and data sovereignty.
- Manage funding agreements, ensure compliance, and oversee budgets for initiatives.
- Promote Movember as a global leader in Indigenous men's health and act as a spokesperson.
- Oversee and report quarterly on initiative progress, integrating data into broader impact reports.
**For this role, you’ll need**
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Able to demonstrate a strong connection with Indigenous communities where they identify and/or live.
- Understand the challenges faced by Indigenous people.
- Have an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous people.
- Extensive experience in health program management.
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record in directing and leading Indigenous partnerships and collaborations.
- Strong background and understanding of Indigenous health.
- Proven ability to deliver and influence outcomes through partnerships.
- Can translate strategy into action; proven track record in implementation of a portfolio of impact initiatives.
**Bonus points for**
- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, or related discipline.
