**About the role**:
These positions will form part of the Clinical Practice Protocol Assessment Committee (the committee), located within the Regulated Services Team, of the Health Regulator Branch. As a key member of the committee your primary purpose is to ensure the development and refinement of comprehensive, evidence-based clinical guidelines for use by licenced First Aid Service organisations. You will play a crucial role in synthesizing clinical information into clear and actionable recommendations, ultimately aiming to enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes.

**How you'll make a difference**:

- Deliver Clinical Practice Protocol Committee project outcomes, including:

- Comprehensive research & identification of best practice clinical care for the first aid sector (basic and intermediate)
- Develop clinical guidelines in accordance with defined quality metrics
- Provide education to First Aid Sector to support transition to clinical guidelines
- Review and approve clinical guidelines submitted by first aid services
- Develop and maintain a broad range of working relationships with internal and external partners through advice and consistent consultation

**Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate**:

- Current clinical expertise in out-of hospital clinical care
- Knowledge and experience working in the event medical/first aid sector
- Ability to conduct comprehensive review of existing evidence to inform guideline recommendations
- Knowledge of established methodological standards and guidelines for clinical guideline development (e.g. GRADE, AGREE II)
- Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven problem solving ability
- Attention to detail

Successful applicants must also have a current AHPRA registration as medical Practitioner, Nurse, or Paramedic.
