Tandem Systems Specialist

**About the Company**
Davidson Technology Consulting have teamed up with a global leader of IT infrastructure services to help them find their next Tandem System Specialist.
This is an initial 12-month full time contract and is open to anyone located IN Australia with full working rights.
**As a Tandem System Specialist, you will have a range of tasks including but not limited to**:
- Configuration Management
- Disaster Recovery
- Performance Management
- General Systems Administration
- Being on standby/on-call roster to provide after-hours support.
**Further Responsibilities**:
- Installation and maintenance of HP Nonstop (Tandem) system products.
- Perform problem determination, problem source identification, and problem resolution.
- Take ownership for assigned tasks and prioritise response in accordance with customer requirements and the competency leader’s directions.
- Perform problem analysis and diagnosis and resolve open problems in a timely manner.
- Manage the resolution of problems in accordance with their severity as defined in Problem Management procedures and within the targets set by the customer.
- Provide effective, regular, and reliable reporting back to project managers and/or the account team.
- Report regularly on progress to Team Leader/Manager.
- Proactively identify and handle any risks that could, for better or worse, affect the operational output of the team.
**The technical Skills needed**:
- Tandem/HP Non-Stop
- DSM/SCM (Distributed Systems Management / Software Configuration Manager)
- HSM Security
- Base24 support
- Shell (TACL) scripting
