CASUAL RECEPTION STAFF at Burke & Wills Hotel
Do you have a passion for exceptional customer service? Are you a strong communicator who can work well under pressure? Do you want to work at Toowoomba’s Luxury Hotel? An exciting opportunity exists for a Front Office Receptionist at the Burke & Wills Hotel.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the administration of our busy front office. Specifically, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Dealing with incoming, outgoing & transferring of telephone calls within the hotel;
- Taking, recording & booking room reservations;
- Check-in guests, allocation of rooms & control of guest keys;
- Preparation of guest accounts, receiving payment for these accounts & reconciliation/balancing of transactions;
- Providing information to & assisting guests with hotel services;
- Maintaining customer service standards set by the employer;
- Ensuring that our customers are served in a prompt, professional & diligent manner;
- Communicating effectively with customers & other staff;
- Working co-operatively within the hotel team environment;
- Meeting all legislative requirements & the employer’s policies & procedures;
- General office duties.
In addition to this, the successful applicant will possess the following personal qualities:
- Impeccable standards of personal presentation/grooming;
- Have an excellent telephone manner;
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal;
- Present themselves in a professional manner at all times;
- Be customer-focused & willing to meet high standards of customer service;
- Work effectively, even when busy.
- Previous experience in hotel reception will be well regarded and knowledge of the RoomMaster system an advantage. The successful applicant must be available to work nights, weekends and must be prepared to learn & work Night Audit shift - 10pm to 6.30am as required.
