**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**
The Manager Event Partnerships is responsible for leading the Event Partnership team with a focus on city activation through sponsorship of third party events, leveraging and promoting CoM’s investment into those events, and measuring the return on CoM’s investment. The Event Partnerships team manage sponsorships of approx. $2.6m per annum through the Event Partnership Program (EPP). The team manages the sponsorship and governance process for applying, assessing, allocating and evaluating sponsorships for events conducted in the City of Melbourne and their associated activation and promotional strategies.
The Manager Event Partnerships will be responsible for leading the team in developing and implementing a sponsorship framework, ensuring links to the Experience Melbourne Operational Plan, Division objectives, and Council goals, to drive city activation, economic stimulation, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at key Melbourne events.
**What you will bring** (selection criteria)
- Leadership capability including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
- High level experience in developing and maintaining strong commercial based relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong skills in building relationships with key stakeholders including commercial organisations, high profile business leaders and educational institutions.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable within a changing environment and delivering high volume outcomes.
