**Insurance Product Specialist - Policy Wording**

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Operations, your new role of Insurance Product Specialist - Policy Wording will see you tasked with understanding the Guild Insurance policy wording needs and collaborating with relevant stakeholders across Guild to ensure that policy wordings are managed and delivered in a fit for purpose and compliant manner.

**About the role**

**This role seeks to support the insurance business by**:

- Facilitating, managing, and administering policy wording changes.
- Participating in business initiatives and working with stakeholders to clearly document and analyse the policy wording impacts, completing wording impact assessments, and providing feedback to stakeholders on the policy wording changes and benefits.
- Proactively finding, analysing, and recommending ways the team can improve policy wording, management, and effectiveness.

**This role has the following principal accountabilities**:

- Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and updating policy wordings and related documents for Guild Insurnace-issued and underwritten insurance products.
- Supporting the Policy Wording Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that the policy wordings are clear, accurate, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategy and values.
- Provide technical support and guidance to portfolio specialists, underwriters, claims and distribution team members on policy wording issues and queries.
- Facilitate, lead, and actively participate in meetings and workshops for business initiatives to elicit & elaborate the business requirements, solution design and business, customer and partner impacts relating to the policy wordings.
- Monitor relevant legislation and industry sources and appropriately manage and escalate any required changes to ensure that Guild Insurance remains compliant, and products are distributed in line with risk appetite.
- Assist in the creation of P&U documentation that provides users with processing instructions, training materials, test plans and change communications.

**Who would this role suit?**

This is a great role for someone with insurance product management, and solid technical commercial insurance experience who would like to move into a specialised role or who might be familiar with insurance policy / legal document writing gained within insurance law. You are confident in influencing stakeholders, running workshops and of course excellent written communication and analytical skills.
