**About us**:

- Newcastle Community Mental Health Service, based at our James Fletcher Hospital site, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
- Newcastle Mental Health Service, in collaboration with Flourish Australia, will provide an excellent orientation program. Supervision, education and training are all highly supported in this role.

**About the role**:

- This role will see you build strong partnerships to enhance mental health services, improving outcomes for eligible HASI Plus clients through collaboration and coordination.
- Coordination of HASI Plus referrals, assessments, planning, and placements for effective consumer support.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Dietetics or Counselling (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association including general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency where required.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes.

**Information for Applicants**
- This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2023_022: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases for Category A positions prior to offer. - All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
