About us:

Newcastle Community Mental Health Service, located at the James Fletcher Hospital site, is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care.

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

About your new job:

This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.

Requirements:

  • This position is targeted for applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Are you of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent?
  • Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.

  • You are an experienced Mental Health professional with expertise in a range of clinical settings.
  • You excel in a busy, fastpaced Mental Health Service as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team.
  • You are capable of working both independently and collaboratively, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in both settings
