About the role:

  • Charlestown Community Mental Health is looking for empathetic and skilled clinicians to join our team, providing highquality care to individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Grow your skills in Mental Health, providing personcentred care in collaboration with patients, families, and our multidisciplinary team.
  • This role operates within a case management and multidisciplinary team framework that requires you to work collaboratively with families, carers, the multidisciplinary team, and other service providers to ensure the provision of personcentred, evidencebased and recoveryorientated care that values the lived experience of consumers.
  • You will be supported in this position by the skilled and welcoming teams and managers and will be provided with clinical supervision and continued training and educational opportunities to support your professional development.
  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.

  • Charlestown is located within Lake Macquarie region and is a fabulous base to explore surrounding villages and enjoy Newcastle's relaxed beach lifestyle.
  • The beautiful Lake Macquarie is ideal for water sports and sits next to stunning ocean beaches, including the famous sea caves at the aptly named Caves Beach, the perfect spot for a classic seaside escape. Nearby Belmont is home to two major sailing clubs and numerous waterfront restaurants and cafes.
  • Charlestown is also home to a bustling retail centre, Charlestown Square, hosting over 280 speciality stores being the largest shopping centre in the Hunter region.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Nutrition and Dietetics which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.

About you:

  • Experience in acute mental health disorders, including assessment, care planning, and evidencebased interventions.
  • Proven time management and risk assessment strategies.
